I was gifted Potion Explosion by a friend that buys up games when they go on sale so he can give them as wedding or Christmas presents. (Isn’t that a great idea?!) the copy I received didn’t have any black ingredient marbles. The manufacturer suggested I return the game but it was purchased several months ago and I didn’t have a receipt. Gifts, am I right? So I went hunting for new black marbles on Etsy. I loved the black ones so much I replaced all the marbles in my game!

in Potion Explosion each player is trying to complete as many potions as they can to get as many points as they can. Ingredients are taken from a slide track. If two of the same color ingredients (marbles) collide after an ingredient is taken, an explosion occurs and players can take multiple ingredients of the same color! Potions that are completed can be used to help players get more ingredients.
MY THOUGHTS 💭
The way ingredients are collected makes this game so fun. Our 8 year-old plays this game and sometimes has a better eye for potential explosions than I do!

Yes! Potion Explosion is a must-have in your game collection, even if it’s your first game. 😊 The second release of this game comes with a fully-assembled plastic slide track with built-in marbles storage. So when you buy it, get that version!
